6/28/26 Special Congregation Meeting following worship

FOR VOTING MEMBERS OF PEACE:

There will be a special congregational meeting Sunday following worship to consider a Church Council request for the authorization of funds for the urgent treatment of the birch tree on our property.

The formal motion coming from the Church Council reads as follows:

“The church council request authorization of up to $10,000 to engage the certified arborist and staff of Blooma Tree in mitigating the risks of falling branches from the birch tree and subsequent costs to be incurred during 2026 for the tree’s maintenance, treatment, or removal.  Based on Blooma Tree’s written evaluation after their scheduled July 7th pruning session, the church council will take responsibility for determining the future course of action for the tree.”

The PLC constitution requires a quorum of 20% of the voting membership, or 47 persons, in order to take action.  Please plan to be in attendance on Sunday @ 10:45am so we can address this safety concern.

A ZOOM LINK is available for those who cannot be present IN-PERSON.  To request the link, contact Pastor Erik Kindem: pastor@peacelutheranseattle.org
