Welcome to the Welcome Table!

 
Peace members collaborate with other faith organizations in West Seattle and White Center to host the Welcome Table each week on Saturdays.
 
Come by any Saturday to volunteer and mingle with our guests at the Welcome Table, noon -1 pm, on the grounds of the Body of Christ church, SW 102nd, 2 blocks east of McLendon’s store.

Each week, volunteers from West Seattle and White Center faith communities serve a hot meal to all who come.

Guests are also invited to take home food and hygiene items for the coming week, as well as needed clothing, shoes, and items such as tarps and sleeping bags for those who are “sleeping out.”

Guests include recent immigrants, asylum-seekers, families (lots of little ones), seniors and other individuals needing help stretching their very limited resources–some with housing, some without.

You’ll hear many languages and see improvised sign language as folks good-heartedly communicate with each other.

Come visit! Meet your neighbors!

You are invited to deliver donations of food or other items there directly, by 11:15am on Saturdays. You may also bring food donations to Peace services on the 1st Sunday of the month.

Welcome Table Urgent Request – Men’s Work Clothing Urgently Needed– new socks and underwear, used-but-still-wearable work pants, shirts, sweatshirts and jackets–for guests of the Welcome Table. This is a HUGE, ongoing need for hard-working guests struggling to provide for themselves and their families. Can you help? Questions? You may either bring items to the Welcome Table on Saturdays, 12:00-1:00pm, or contact Boots to chat about how you would like to contribute.
