Groups

Peace Lutheran Has Activities for All Age Groups! Peace offers many fellowship and service opportunities for people of all ages. Among them are:

  • Bazaar The Bazaar group raises money to help purchase items for the church that are not usually included within the yearly budget.
  • Bible Study ~ We have two meetups for adult learners, Adult Forum with Pastor Erik on Sunday mornings, and Bible Study with Pastor Paul on Monday evenings.
  • Choir ~ Rehearses most Thursdays from 7-8:30 pm under the direction of Jon Lackey, Minister of Music
  • Contemplative Prayer Group ~ Begun as a 6-week pilot in February 2025, now extended into May 2025, this group meets on scheduled Sundays after Fellowship Time.
  • Creation Care Team ~ focused on helping us live into our first vocation as Earth keepers in an age of rapid climate change. Meets monthly via Zoom, and contributes to the monthly Peace Notes newsletter and most weekly Bulletins.
  • Peace Piecers ~ quilt making group which meets second and fourth Saturdays
  • Prayer Ministers ~ ongoing prayer chain ministry that meets once quarterly and is available to make home visits prior to surgery and for other needs
  • Senior Activity Group ~ Prior to COVID Lockdown, the Senior Activity Group (SAG) hosted monthly social events for seniors on 2nd Thursdays at 11:30am. This group is dormant as of March, 2020. Please contact the office or a council member to explore its revival.
  • Social Ministry Action Team ~ supporting outreach to the larger community through various projects both local and international.
  • Web Team at PLC ~ A loose-knit group of writers, artists, photographers, technical support, and admin helpers.
  • Women of the ELCA ~ 3rd Wednesdays at 1:00 pm
  • Junior and Senior Youth ~ led by Nicole Klinemeier (check out the Youth Page for details)
