Sermon Title: A Journey Through Darkness to Light

(Matthew 5:1-12, Revelation 7:9-17)

Rev. Erik Kindem, November 2, 2014

Quick Summary:

How much of what we do, of how we live, of what we leave behind is our way of leaving that testimonial trail: I exits, I matter, I am alive!

Jeffrey Gusky, who documented the forgotten rock quarries under the trenches of WW 1, which are full of art and artifacts left by soldiers from all sides, sees the art as part of a "journey through darkness to light, and always toward hope."

On All Saints we participate in the mystery of that journey and do so with hope, because the future belongs to God.
