{"id":5062,"date":"2022-11-26T14:29:37","date_gmt":"2022-11-26T22:29:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.peacelutheranseattle.org\/?p=5062"},"modified":"2023-01-06T11:42:09","modified_gmt":"2023-01-06T19:42:09","slug":"112722-first-sunday-of-advent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.peacelutheranseattle.org\/?p=5062","title":{"rendered":"11\/27\/22 First Sunday of Advent"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><em><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Welcome to Peace &#8211; We&#8217;re glad you found us<\/span>!<\/em><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>The season of Advent<\/strong><strong> is upon us beginning NOVEMBER 27th,<\/strong><\/span> carrying with it two simultaneous visions of our expectations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>we await yet again the birth of the babe in the manger,<\/li>\n<li>and we also await Christ\u2019s coming again to fulfill all things.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>The season begins @ 9:00am with <u>ADVENT FEST<\/u><\/strong><\/span>, a cross-generational event featuring stations for assembling Advent logs, cardmaking, paperwhites, crafts, breakfast snacks, plus a few new stations to enjoy\u2026 all the tools and items you need to begin marking the Season of Advent at home.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><strong>Worship follows @ 10:30am<\/strong>,<\/span> and during Advent this year we are marking the \u201choly disruption\u201d that Christ\u2019s coming brings, with a fourfold rhythm <em>BREATHING\u2026 RELEASING\u2026 RECEIVING\u2026 REJOICING.<\/em>\u00a0 We\u2019ll light the first Advent Candle and listen for how clues of God\u2019s presence in the Holy Disruption is a sign of hope rather than despair.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>MASKING for worship and educational activities is now\u00a0optional<em>.\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0Pastor Kindem and the assisting ministers will continue to wear masks while distributing Holy Communion.\u00a0 Together, we continue to exercise care with our own health and to maintain proper distance as a way of caring for others.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>The worship guide can be downloaded here:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.peacelutheranseattle.org\/?attachment_id=5063\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5063\">Advent 1A 2022 11.27.22 bulletin<\/a> \u00a0If you cannot join us in IN-PERSON, you can join via our Live Stream channel: <span style=\"color: #003366;\"><a style=\"color: #003366;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCZ_kC390-EvxqHEpTQR-cxg\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCZ_kC390-EvxqHEpTQR-cxg<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to Peace &#8211; We&#8217;re glad you found us!
